Recruitment and Hiring During COVID-19

Is UNC Health still hiring?

Are job interviews happening in-person or virtual?

  • Virtual. Hiring managers are responsible for coordinating interviews. Generally, first interviews are usually done over the phone with follow-up interviews by video conference using Webex, Skype, Zoom, or FaceTime.

Are the positions you are hiring for required to work in our facilities or medical centers or can I work virtually?

  • During the COVID-19 outbreak, working from home is highly encouraged for positions with duties that can be accomplished remotely. However, many UNC Health staff positions require one to work on-site or in our medical centers. From patient care and research to food workers and custodial staff, our greater community is counting on UNC Health staff to provide on-site empathy, expertise, and service.

Where can I learn more about the UNC Health's COVID-19 response measures?

What tips do you have for candidates preparing for a virtual interview?
